San Andreas Emergency Communications Center

The VoiceBefore The Response

Every unit that rolls, every truck that turns out, starts with a call answered here. SAECC handles intake and dispatch for public safety across the state.

The Role

The First Contact

Dispatchers take the call before anyone else does. That means reading a scene from a voice alone, sorting what matters from what doesn't, and getting the right units moving without wasting a second. It is quiet work most nights and heavy work some nights, and the job is to be steady either way.

One Line, Every Unit

Ground And Air,One Channel

SAECC does not belong to a single agency. Calls get routed to state troopers, sheriff's deputies, city police, fire, and EMS depending on where they land and what they need, with air support brought in the same way as any ground unit.

Who Answers

One Center, Every Agency

State & County

Troopers and deputies working the highways and unincorporated county rely on dispatch to know where they are and what they are walking into.

Fire & EMS

Medical calls and fire responses get triaged and routed here, coordinating engines and medics from the first ring to the last unit clearing.

City & Campus

Municipal and campus police units run through the same board, keeping calls consistent no matter whose jurisdiction the call lands in.

Answer The Call

SAECC is starting from the ground up right now, which means early dispatchers help set the standard everyone after them follows. No experience is assumed. What matters is a calm voice, a clear head, and the willingness to learn the board.
